Emergency
Background: EMERGENCY are an independent and neutral association offering free surgery to victims of landmines in war. Their work is made possible only with support from volunteers and donors.
Our Solution: we created 6×3 outdoor billboards using photos of the victims taken by the surgeons themselves.
The poster simply states a fact:
“THIS POSTER WAS MADE ENTIRELY BY VOLUNTEERS. (Except for the model.)”
BEHIND THE SCENES: Most Italians weren’t aware that Italy (along with China) were responsible for the production of landmines used in Africa and Eastern Europe. The multi-subject campaign served to create awareness amongst the public and open discussion on national TV. It was successful in doing both and in raising funds for the cause.
